Kyle got his start in astronomy working on the Event Horizon Telescope at the University of Arizona. After getting his undergraduate degree in physics Kyle started the Astrophysics PhD program at Arizona State University. There he split his time between instrument projects and observational astronomy projects. Kyle works on the CubeSounder project a novel 3D weather imaging radiometer. His contributions focus on millimeter-wave filter-bank design, simulation and testing. For CubeSounder Kyle has supported two high-altitude balloon flights out of Tucson Arizona. Kyle has also worked on multiple extragalactic astronomy analysis projects, focusing on using ALMA data to survey high redshift galaxies. He has also contributed to the SuperSpec project, a spectrometer instrument for the Large Millimeter Telescope.
