Robin entered academia after a long career in business and finance, including fifteen years with the Walt Disney Company, eight years as an entrepreneur, and several more helping non-profits achieve financial independence.
Curious about both the natural world and science and technology, she became interested in the emerging field of Biomimicry and earned her M.S. at ASU. Central to this discipline is the thesis that by working with nature, human needs can be met with technology, processes, and systems that are biologically and ecologically compatible. Working with partners across the New American University, she seeks practical application of the most promising developments in nature-based, bio-inspired or biomimetic innovation.
