Long Bio

Dr. Yi Su is a Senior Scientist and the Director of the Computational Image Analysis Lab at the Banner Alzheimer's Institute (BAI), Phoenix, Arizona. He also holds affiliated appointments at the School of Computing and Augmented Intelligence, ASU and Department of Neurology at the University of Arizona-College of Medicine-Phoenix. Dr. Su currently directs the Data Management and Statistics Core and co-directs the Biomarker Core of the Arizona Alzheimer's Disease Research Center. He received his doctorate in Biomedical Engineering in 2005 from Mayo Graduate School, and had postdoctoral training at Mayo Clinic College of Medicine in Rochester, Minnesota, and the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology (MIR), Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri. Before joining BAI in 2018, he was a faculty with MIR.

Dr. Su's research focuses on the development and application of advanced data analysis techniques to investigate neurological disorders such as Alzheimer's disease. His research employs neuroimaging techniques to measure and quantify brain changes in healthy aging and diseases. NIH, the State of Arizona, and private foundations have supported Dr. Su's research.
