As Director of Global Implementation for the ASU International Development Initiative, Kati Royston applies over a decade of international development experience and knowledge of ASU systems and culture to support the university’s implementation of global development projects. Kati’s previous experience as Project Manager for the ASU-led, USAID-funded Strengthening Higher Education in Malawi Activity, combined with her work with leading international development implementers, allows her to support the Initiative’s efforts to translate ASU’s academic innovation into real-world impact. Prior to joining ASU in 2019, Kati spent several years with FHI 360, where she supported the implementation of programs in Afghanistan and the Middle East and North Africa region. Previously, she worked with education-focused NGOs on programs for the U.S. Department of State and other federal funders. Kati also served as a Peace Corps Volunteer in the Dominican Republic from 2012-2014. She is a graduate of the University of Georgia with a Master's in Comparative Literature.
