Audrey Garcia

Audrey Garcia is a Clinical Associate Professor at Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation, Arizona State University, with an anticipated Ed.D. in Leadership and Innovation in 2027. She holds a Master’s degree in Bilingual and Multicultural Education and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education. Garcia teaches a range of courses and supervises student teaching placements. She has contributed to course curriculum development and revisions and actively participates in faculty mentorship initiatives.

Garcia’s work is grounded in rural education, teacher preparation pathways, and community-engaged partnership development. In her leadership role as a rural faculty representative, she collaborates with school districts to strengthen partnerships and support the recruitment and retention of teacher candidates in rural communities. She has presented on strategies to address teacher shortages through rural community engagement. Her research focuses on mentorship supports for nontraditional preservice teachers, particularly those serving in rural contexts,  aligning her scholarly work with her commitment to community-centered education.
