Long Bio
Originally from Chattanooga, TN, I have a B.A. in History from Emory University, a M.A. in Rhetoric and Writing from The University of Tennessee at Chattanooga, and a Ph.D. in Rhetoric and Professional Communication from Iowa State University. This is my 16th year teaching college. Before getting my M.A., I worked in a variety of industries as a technical writer, graphic designer, speech writer, and webmaster. My hobbies include hiking and fishing in Alaska, walking my dog, and writing poetry.
