Long Bio
Jessica Gerton began her studies in Counseling Psychology at Arizona State University in 2020, where she has since been engaged in research, teaching, and clinical practice. Her research has focused on therapy outcomes with services provided via telehealth. Her interests for both research and teaching extend to counselor training and education in a new age of psychology. Jessica is eager to integrate her experience with and passion for clinical work with her enthusiasm for teaching. She earned her Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from ASU in 2022, and previously her Bachelor of Science in Psychology at Colorado State University.
Jessica was selected as a recipient of the 2024 GPSA Teaching Excellence Award in acknowledgment of her exceptional teaching contributions at Arizona State University. This competitive award recognizes graduate and professional students that exemplify excellence in teaching across all ASU campuses.
