Long Bio
I'm a social scientist with a background in international economics, international law, and geography. My research focuses primarily on the Arctic region.
My research interests relate to co-production of sea ice knowledge between Western scientists and Indigenous knowledge holders. Evidently, the Arctic region is experiencing the most transformation due to climate change. The ongoing changes in the Arctic climate require efforts from both scientific and Indigenous stakeholders to resolve issues where neither scientific nor Indigenous knowledge is sufficient by itself. By exploring practices and ethics of co-production methods, my research aims to identify ways to improve the process of co-production to serve different stakeholders.
