David Rozul is the Marketing and Communications Manager for ASU's School of Molecular Sciences (SMS), where he leads media relations, communications strategy, and promotional campaigns. His role encompasses overseeing social media, newsletter outreach, editorial content, and community relations activities.
With over a decade of experience in communications and journalism across fields such as geosciences, urban climate, biotech, and pharmaceuticals, David previously worked as a media relations officer at ASU. There, he collaborated with faculty researchers across various departments, including the School of Sustainability, Global Futures Lab, School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning, and the Department of Psychology.
Before ASU, David spearheaded media relations and public outreach initiatives at San Diego State University and contributed as a writer for the Mission Times Courier, focusing on human interest stories. His work earned him the 2013 Edward L. Bernays Silver Mark of Excellence from the San Diego/Imperial Counties Public Relations Society of America for his reputation management and public relations proposal for Urban Corps of San Diego County.
David holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies with a specialization in public relations and a minor in sociology. Outside of work, he enjoys rock climbing and camping, fueling his passion for the outdoors.
