David is the Marketing and Communications Manager for ASU's School of Molecular Sciences. With a decade of communications and journalism experience across various sectors including geosciences, urban climate, biotech, and pharmaceuticals, as a media relations officer for ASU, he collaborated closely with faculty researchers from multiple departments such as the School of Sustainability, Global Futures Lab, School of Geographical Sciences and Urban Planning, and the Department of Psychology.
In his previous role at San Diego State University, David led media relations and public outreach activities, while also contributing as a writer for the Mission Times Courier, primarily covering human interest stories. Notably, he was recognized with the prestigious 2013 Edward L. Bernays Silver Mark of Excellence by the San Diego/Imperial Counties Public Relations Society of America for his outstanding reputation management and awareness public relations proposal for Urban Corps of San Diego County.
David holds a bachelor's degree in journalism and media studies, with a specialization in public relations and a minor in sociology. Outside of work, he indulges in his love for the outdoors through activities like rock climbing and camping.
