Rahul Sindal

Rahul Sindal is a fifth-year doctoral student in marketing strategy at W.P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University, advised by Michael Wiles. His research interests span two areas. First, he studies sales strategy, examining how CEO sales and marketing experience impacts firm performance, which factors may influence this relationship, and how sales experience differs from marketing experience in its performance implications. He also studies the intersection of AI and sales, investigating the effectiveness of using generative AI in business-to-business sales outreach. Second, Rahul examines the well-being of marketing professionals, studying how and why working in marketing may translate to distinct health outcomes. Across projects, he uses large-scale archival data, panel data, and econometric methods. Before starting his PhD, Rahul spent nearly a decade in sales, marketing, and leadership roles, including positions at 3M and Henkel AG.
