Ujun Jeong’s research in digital sociology focuses on modeling user behavior, such as how interactions shape information flow, community formation, and platform dynamics. He develops computational methods to leverage higher-order and heterogeneous relations in social networks using graph and hypergraph learning. This also combines econometric techniques to examine how platform design and cross-platform relations influence user behavior through incentives and responses.
His work has been published in leading conferences in data mining and computational social science such as SDM, ICWSM, CIKM, and IEEE Big Data, etc. In particular, he is recipient of the best paper award at ASONAM multidisciplinary track. His works have also been featured in news media such as Science magazine, ACM tech review, and Research Professional News.
