Heather Clark – Chief Research Compliance Officer (CRCO)
Heather Clark serves as ASU’s Chief Research Compliance Officer, providing strategic oversight, resources, and guidance to ensure research at the university is conducted with integrity and in compliance with all applicable regulations. In this role, she serves as the lead contact and subject matter expert for a wide range of research-related compliance matters, supporting ASU’s mission to conduct innovative and responsible research.
Heather oversees the Office of Research Compliance, which brings together the functions of Institutional Compliance and Regulatory Affairs (ICRA) and the Office of Research Integrity and Assurance (ORIA). https://researchcompliance.asu.edu/
Previously, Heather served as Assistant Vice President for Research Operations (Sponsored and Research Compliance), where she led research administration functions essential to supporting ASU’s rapidly expanding research enterprise for 18 years.
She holds a B.S. in Microbiology and an MBA. Her passion for research, first sparked as a student at ASU, continues to guide her work in strengthening the university’s research compliance infrastructure and supporting the success of faculty and researchers across the institution.
