Long Bio
Jackie is a first-year PhD student with the Group 18 Laboratories, working with Dr. Kip Hodges. She is broadly interested in continental arc tectonics, active tectonics, basin analysis, landscape evolution, and the evolution of mountain belts. She is also passionate about education, outreach, and the increase of diversity in the Earth Sciences.
Jackie comes to ASU after receiving her M.S. in Geological Sciences at the University Connecticut, working with Dr. Julie Fosdick. Her master’s research focused on constraining the Miocene slip history of the southern San Andreas Fault using sedimentary provenance and geochronology methods.
Jackie's current research focuses on the long-term evolution of the Sierra Nevada, using multi-mineral thermochronology and geochronology.
