Experienced over the last 17 years a multitude of development and humanitarian programs covering the sectors of economic development, livelihoods, social stability, education, protection, refugees, migration, health, ethics and human rights. Programs were funded by the US government (USAID, PRM, TIP, DRL, MEPI), the EU, UN agencies (UNHCR, UNICEF, UNOCHA etc.), European governments, institutional donors and foundations. Partnerships included foreign and local governments, ministries, local and regional actors and fora working on advocacy efforts to promote and raise awareness on sustainable development, ethics and human rights.
A participant, panelist and presenter in many international conferences such as the three Brussels Conferences for the Syria Crisis, UNHCR NGO global Consultations, IOM and ICVA regional meetings, and Global Forums on Migration and Development etc. where we developed several advocacy instruments, joint statements and action plans to promote human rights, gender equality, access to justice, access to education, protection for vulnerable at-risk communities and peace-building. Bridged development with policy-making by working as chief of staff with three-time Member of Parliament Samy Gemayel mainly counseling on issues related to international development, humanitarian work, crisis management, elections and other topics.
A proud graduate of the American University of Beirut, Georgetown University, the American University in Washington DC, and currently working towards a PhD in Innovation in Global Development at Arizona State University . An education primarily focused on development management, economics, public policy and international relations. Passionate about solutions and tools for innovation in development (i.e. technology, ICT, sustainable social models), specifically in the context of protracted crises.
