Xin Guo is the manager of Goldwater Materials Science Facility in the Eyring Materials Center, an innovative component of ASU Core Facilities. His primary specialties for materials characterization include X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy (XPS),Scanning/Transmission electron microscopy (SEM/TEM), X-ray diffractometry (XRD), Thermal analysis (Calorimeters/TGA/DSC) and Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR). With extensive experience and a deep understanding of both spectroscopy and microscopy, he provides scientific expertise in advanced characterization techniques and technical analysis on materials of varying structures/properties to customers across academia and industry. He plays a key role in training users to operate the state-of-the-art analytical instruments within the Eyring Material Center and engages in a collaborative effort to further scientific research findings.
