Lindiwe Mutungamiri is a visionary entrepreneur and AI researcher pursuing a Master's Degree in Computer Science at Arizona State University. She is the founder and CEO of eighty-nine, an AI-powered medical imaging and learning platform designed to enhance diagnostic accuracy for African doctors. Her work in entrepreneurship has earned her recognition from the National Science Foundation I-CORPS program, the Tony Blair Institute, the Melton Foundation, and global startup networks like Impact Hub Basel.
A former student-athlete and volleyball captain, Lindiwe has led teams since age 11, earning multiple MVP awards. She co-founded LITH Africa during her undergraduate studies at Ashesi University where she earned her Bachelor's in Computer Science, pioneering technology-driven solutions for emerging markets. Her work has been featured on TV, radio, and newspapers, where she shares insights as a woman in tech and startup founder. As a Melton Foundation Strategic Planning Committee member, she contributes to shaping global policy and innovation.
Lindiwe is passionate about Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain, and the future of technology in transforming lives. She has showcased her ventures at Arizona State University’s Demo Day, Startup Incubators and Accelerators competing for investments to scale her impact. She is driven by a vision to build multinational companies that redefine industries while navigating life as an entrepreneur, researcher, and global citizen. In her free time, she enjoys reading, traveling, and watering her house plants.
