Hello! My name is Christopher Tennefos and I'm an academic advisor at Arizona State University. I was born and raised in Blythe, CA but I currently call Phoenix my home. In my free time, I love trying to make different recipes, camping and visiting national parks, Goodwill hunting with my wife, and generally anything considered geeky.
I've been in higher education for over a 12 years and take pride in being an agent of change for students, staff and faculty. I'm a first generation Hispanic student who started at a community college, and it has opened so many opportunities for me. I've had the pleasure of being a program coordinator for Upward Bound and Dual Enrollment which sparked my desire to work with programs that help first-gen students empower themselves to accomplish their educational and career goals. I love getting students to their "aha!" moment.
