Eddie McCoven

Eddie McCoven is a broadcast news professional who is passionate about making a difference in communities by keeping them informed and engaged on the issues which matter to them the most. 

His most recent work was as a multimedia journalist (MMJ) at KYMA and KECY-TV in Yuma, Arizona. 

Previously, Eddie was a regional news anchor and reporter for iHeartRadio and NBC News Radio, covering stories up and down the West Coast and anchoring newscasts for multiple markets, including San Diego and Los Angeles. While at iHeart, he helped supervise the San Diego bureau and coordinated coverage with the Sacramento and Phoenix bureaus and various TV partners.  Eddie was also the interim executive producer of San Diego’s Morning News, a four-hour morning drive news program on KOGO-AM. 

Prior to iHeart, Eddie worked as a reporter and producer for Herring Networks’ cable news division, as a writer/producer for KUSI-TV in San Diego and as a production assistant for KPLU-FM, an NPR affiliate in Tacoma, Washington. 

Eddie is a passionate, driven individual who is ready to lead by example and be a team player.  In addition to his anchor and reporter skills, Eddie brings a wealth of experience in writing, copy editing and producing. He is proficient in Adobe Audition, Premiere Pro and Photoshop and can easily adapt to other technology.
