Ke Hu is a professor in the Biodesign Center for Mechanisms of Evolution and the School of Life Sciences. She received her bachelor’s degree from Tsinghua University, and her doctorate from the University of Pennsylvania.
The Hu Lab exploits the richly detailed and invariant cell architecture of apicomplexan parasites to explore general questions in cellular construction and cell biology. The lab is also broadly interested in the evolution of parasitism, in particular, the basic molecular and cellular requirements for one cell to invade and grow inside another cell.
