Julien Picard is the Executive Director of Marketing & Strategic Partnerships for the Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation at Arizona State University. In this role, he leads strategic marketing, communications, enrollment marketing, brand development, and external partnerships that advance the college's mission to design and scale innovative approaches to education.
Julien brings more than 20 years of marketing and leadership experience across higher education, K-12 education, technology, telecommunications, and consumer markets. Prior to joining Arizona State University, he served as Vice President of Marketing & Communications for the Greater Phoenix Chamber and Greater Phoenix Chamber Foundation. Earlier in his career, he held executive marketing leadership positions with Vertex Education, Cadence Education, Cable ONE, Learning A-Z, and Auralog.
At Vertex Education, Julien served as Vice President of Marketing and later Chief Marketing Officer, leading marketing strategies that supported more than 250,000 students across a growing network of public charter schools. At Cadence Education, he helped drive enrollment growth and brand development for a nationwide portfolio of more than 170 preschools serving over 20,000 students and families.
Throughout his career, Julien has specialized in connecting strategy, data, storytelling, and customer experience to drive measurable growth and organizational impact. His work has focused on expanding educational access, strengthening brands, and building partnerships that support learners, educators, and communities.
Julien earned an MBA in Marketing from Arizona State University and a Master in Management from Toulouse Business School. He is passionate about expanding access to educational opportunities and building partnerships that help learners, educators, and communities thrive.
