Long Bio
Theophilus Kwofie is an Applied Mathematician with a research interest in using Mathematical approaches to gain insight into the transmission dynamics of infectious diseases (such as Covid-19), and social dynamics (such as obesity) which are of public health and societal importance. As a Mathematical modeller, he always enjoys the ineffable feeling of victory when he can use models to gain a comprehensive understanding of real-world phenomena and subsequently incorporate strategies to address and mitigate them.
He has collaborated with prominent researchers in his field. One of the notable and renowned collaborators is Professor Emerita Pauline van den Driessche.
He is experienced in academic research and teaching, teaching over 200 college students. It should be stated that Theophilus Kwofie has mentored a number of undergraduate students.
