Ingrid McBride is a clinical professor of audiology in the College of Health Solutions. She earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from Arizona State University and her Doctor of Audiology (AuD) degree from the University of Florida. Her research interests include: advanced technology hearing aids, assistive technology for the hard of hearing and deaf, aural rehabilitation, and diagnostic audiology. In her role at the university, McBride teaches introductory and advanced courses in hearing aid amplification, diagnostic audiology and immittance measures. McBride also provides clinical supervision of Doctor of Audiology students with clinical duties involving adult and pediatric diagnosis, hearing aid and assistive technology fitting and follow-up, cochlear implant evaluation and mapping, and group audiological rehabilitation for hearing aid and cochlear implant recipients. McBride has a passion for providing service above self, and developed, and led a program called Hearing for Humanity, which provided audiologic and speech services to children and adults in Malawi Africa for seven years. She is currently involved in the Rotary project in San Felipe, which provides training to technicians and teleaudiology services on a weekly basis.
