Dr. Amy Gleiser, EdD, is a visionary leader with extensive experience in academic administration, education innovation, and leadership development. She currently serves as a core member of Six Nations Polytechnic’s (SNP) Senior Leadership Team and the Academic Governance Team as Dean of Community, Health, and Trades and Apprenticeship. As a senior academic officer, Dr. Gleiser leads and embodies the academic mission and vision of SNP, overseeing all aspects of academic affairs. Her responsibilities include strategic initiative implementation, academic program development and delivery, quality assurance, academic governance, and partnership development, all while fostering an educational environment that supports student learning and intellectual growth. Dr. Gleiser also serves as an adjunct faculty member in the Leadership and Innovation doctoral program at Arizona State University’s Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation.
In her previous role as Director of the Learning Institute at Women’s College Hospital, Dr. Gleiser demonstrated transformative leadership by driving advancements in patient and community engagement, education scholarship, and health system transformation. Under her direction, the Learning Institute implemented an innovative learning management system contributing to knowledge translation and healthcare education innovation.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Gleiser served as Associate Dean and Professor at one of Ontario’s leading polytechnic institutions, where she oversaw academic operations and successfully led the implementation of the United Nations Principles for Responsible Management Education (PRME) initiative. Her work in faculty development and curriculum design established her as a thought leader in sustainable education practices.
An advocate for lifelong learning, Dr. Gleiser earned her Doctor of Education in Leadership and Innovation from Arizona State University (2024), a Master of Arts in Adult Education from Athabasca University (2016), and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Wilfrid Laurier University (2005). She holds certifications in Indigenous history, Indigenous Cultural Safety, Carbon Literacy, Mental Health, and has completed the Chair Academy’s Transformational Leadership Program.
Dr. Gleiser’s dynamic career and multidisciplinary expertise position her as a transformative leader driving impactful change. Her ability to design and implement strategic initiatives has made a lasting impact across sectors, and she continues to be a key driver of positive change.
