Long Bio
Jose Rivas holds a Bachelor of Science (BS) in Criminology and Criminal Justice with a minor in Justice Studies from Arizona State University, along with certificates in Socio-Legal Studies and Legal Issues in the Criminal Justice System. Additionally, he earned an Associate of Arts (AA) in General Studies from Mesa Community College.
Jose has accumulated a wealth of experience through diverse roles. As a Student Coordinator for the ASU Sacramento Scholars Program, he developed and managed internship programs, advised students, and fostered professional partnerships. His role as an Events and Operations Assistant at the Chandler Innovation Center involved customer service, facility management, and event coordination. In addition, Jose gained hands-on experience in the legislative process during his internship with the California State Assembly AD52, where he developed strong communication skills and built a professional network.
