Yaxin Wang is a Ph.D. candidate in Education Policy and Evaluation at Arizona
State University (ASU). She is a dedicated researcher in the field of education policy,
focusing on how state education agencies and school leaders make evidence-based
decisions to broaden access and increase equity for all students. Yaxin has collaborated with school districts and state departments of education on multiple program evaluations (e.g., the Teacher Excellence Initiative at Dallas ISD and the AZ R3 Tutoring Program at Tempe School District). Her research has been published and presented at several international peer-reviewed conferences, including APPAM, AERA, and AEFP.
In addition, Yaxin serves as an ad hoc reviewer for several policy-relevant journals,
including Educational Policy, Current Issues in Education, and Urban Education.
She earned her Master of Education from the University of Washington, Seattle,
and her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from Wake Forest University.
