Brian Ferguson

Brian is originally from Albuquerque, New Mexico, and relocated to the Phoenix, Arizona area in December 2020. He earned his undergraduate degree from the University of New Mexico in 2007 and his graduate degree from Wayland Baptist University in 2013.

Brian brings over a decade of experience in higher education, with a professional focus on academic advising, student-athlete development, and student success initiatives. He began his career at the University of New Mexico Athletics Department in 2012 as a Learning Specialist intern and transitioned in 2014 to an academic advising role within the Lobo Center for Student-Athlete Success, where he supported student-athletes in achieving their academic, athletic, and professional goals.

Since joining Arizona State University in 2020, Brian has demonstrated progressive leadership within the College of Integrative Sciences and Arts (CISA). He began as an Academic Success Advisor, where he contributed to student retention and academic achievement efforts. In 2023, he was promoted to Assistant Director of Academic Advising, taking on increased responsibility for team leadership, advising strategy, and operational effectiveness. Currently, he serves as the Associate Director of Academic Advising, where he provides strategic direction, oversees advising initiatives, and leads efforts to enhance student success outcomes across the college.
