Long Bio
Originally from Virginia, Maria received her bachelor’s degree in International and Global Studies as well as in Women’s, Gender, and Sexuality Studies from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro in 2021, where she graduated summa cum laude. She also holds a master’s degree in Justice Studies from ASU. At the Center for Work and Democracy, Maria works as an researcher for the Alternative Unionism Project and runs the social media and communications department. Her academic interests include intersectional feminist studies, queer theory, and labor organizing.
