Long Bio
Francesca is a PhD candidate at the School of Sustainability (with a Complex Adaptive Systems Science concentration). Her research explores decision-making and collective action, focusing on what motivates people to cooperate. In her dissertation, she investigates how fairness norms influence natural hazard insurance decisions and how to promote collective action for risk reduction. The methods she uses include lab experiments, online studies, and agent-based modeling.
