Tan (Suparerk) Lekwijit is an Assistant Professor at the W. P. Carey School of Business of Arizona State University. He holds a Ph.D. in Operations, Information and Decisions from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania and an M.S. in Management Science and Engineering from Columbia University.
Professor Lekwijit’s primary research goal is to understand how healthcare providers can leverage information technology and make operational improvements to achieve better health and operational outcomes. His work provides actionable, data-driven insight toward how to maximize efficiency and effectiveness given organizational constraints. He utilizes data analytics and econometrics to analyze large-scale inpatient and outpatient data derived from electronic health record databases as well as data collected from field experiments. His research contributes to the growing body of empirical work on empirical operations, health information technology, and behavioral economics.
