Long Bio
James Sypherd is a developer, designer, and researcher at Arizona State University whose work explores game development, motion capture, embodied interaction, and physical computing. He teaches AME 294: Martial Arts and Motion Capture, where students examine movement, performance, and interactive media through martial arts practice and mocap technology. James brings 20 years of Korean martial arts experience to his teaching and creative work, combining technical development with a long-standing interest in movement training, biomechanics, and interactive experience design.
