Kanu Sinha is an Assistant Professor at the School of Electrical, Energy and Computer Engineering at Arizona State University. Prior to joining ASU, she was an Associate Research Scholar at the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering at Princeton University. She earned her Bachelors of Technology in Engineering Physics at the Indian Institute of Technology, New Delhi, followed by her Ph.D. in Physics at University of Maryland, College Park. She has since been a Postdoctoral Fellow at the Institute of Quantum Optics and Quantum Information (IQOQI) in Innsbruck, Austria and at the US Army Research Laboratory (ARL) in Maryland.
Her research group studies Quantum Optics and Quantum Information – with a focus on quantum fluctuation phenomena, collective atom-field interactions and non-Markovian open quantum systems. Her work aims to find novel ways to control atom-photon interactions in engineered quantum systems, with the goal to develop efficient light-matter interfaces and create scalable quantum devices.
