DeAnnah Byrd is an Assistant Professor. She studies the effects of chronic conditions, biological and psychosocial stressors, and protective factors on memory and cognitive changes in older African Americans, with a focus on reducing dementia among minority aging populations. Her work has been funded by the National Institute on Aging, Alzheimer’s Association and the Michigan Alzheimer’s Disease Center.
