Long Bio
Celena Gammon is a part of the undergraduate advising team, holding a Master's in History with a Public History emphasis from SHPRS. Her research interests are the Japanese American incarceration during WWII, Asian American history, and Black women during 20th century America.
She spent two years teaching in rural Japan with the JET Programme.
In Gammon's free time, she volunteers for Nikkei Rising, where she creates social media content about people of Japanese ancestry. Gammon also loves talking about her pets, exploring museums, and trying new cafes and restaurants.
