Thomas Inman joined ASU's New College of Interdisciplinary Arts and
Sciences as an adjunct faculty member in 2001 and was appointed to a
full-time mathematics lecturer the following year. He received
his M.A.E.D. (1969) and B.A.E.D. (1965) from ASU. His bachelor's
degree in education includes a major in mathematics, while his
master's was earned in mathematics education.
Inman boasts a 40-year career in education, including more than 30
years as a math teacher at Tolleson High School in the West
Valley. While at Tolleson, he accepted an adjunct faculty
appointment at Glendale Community College where he taught nearly 25
years, leading classes in all levels of algebra, finite math, college
math and calculus. He has also taught in the Phoenix Union
School District and at Alchesay High School on the Fort Apache Indian
Reservation in Whiteriver, Ariz.
AT ASU's West campus, Inman teaches college algebra and college mathematics.
