Scott Cassidy

Scott Cassidy is a graduate student in the W. P. Carey School of Business at Arizona State University, where he is pursuing a Master of Business Administration. He previously earned a Bachelor of Arts in Organizational Leadership and a Master of Science in Organizational Leadership from Arizona State University. His academic interests include leadership, organizational behavior, project management, operations, decision-making, and the application of business principles to public- and private-sector organizations.

Professionally, Scott works for the Defense Health Agency at Luke Air Force Base, where he serves as a Site Network Lead supporting the 56th Medical Group. In this role, he helps oversee network operations, technical projects, infrastructure planning, cybersecurity requirements, and technology support for a military healthcare environment. His responsibilities include coordinating the work of technical teams, supporting network and systems modernization efforts, developing operating procedures, troubleshooting infrastructure issues, and working with organizational leaders to meet operational requirements. His professional background has given him experience at the intersection of technology, leadership, healthcare operations, and federal service.

Before entering federal civilian service, Scott served nine years in the United States Army and reached the rank of Staff Sergeant. His military experience included leadership responsibilities, team development, training, accountability, and working in environments where decisions often had to be made with limited time and information. His transition from military service into information technology and organizational leadership has shaped his interest in how organizations build effective teams, develop leaders, manage change, and improve day-to-day operations.

Scott holds professional certifications in information technology, including the Cisco Certified Network Associate certification, and has experience working with enterprise networking, cybersecurity, infrastructure management, and technology project implementation. During his federal career, he has also received organizational and command-level recognition for his work in information systems and civilian service.

His graduate education has expanded his focus beyond information technology into business strategy, organizational behavior, operations, analytics, project management, and entrepreneurship. He is particularly interested in how leaders can use data, clear processes, and employee involvement to improve organizational performance. His long-term professional interests include management, business development, real estate, and entrepreneurship.
