Ravi Teja Chopparapu, currently a PhD student under the guidance of Dr. Morteza Abbaszadegan at the Water and Environmental Technology Center (WET) in ISTB-4, Arizona State University, embarked on an academic journey that blends interdisciplinary research with a commitment to environmental stewardship. Transitioning from a Mechanical Engineering background at Velagapudi Ramakrishna Siddhartha Engineering College, Vijayawada, India, he holds a bachelor’s degree and leverages his expertise in publications and research experience. With a passion for creating a Clean and Green World, Ravi Teja made the leap to the United States (in Dec'21) to pursue Environmental Engineering, aiming to integrate his prior research in water purification and renewable energy into the microbial realm. His contributions extend beyond academia, showcasing his athleticism in 100m sprinting, role as an Entrepreneurship Catalyst, and service as the Green Devil Ambassador for ASU. Committed to knowledge dissemination, he served as the Graduate Teaching Associate for CEE 467/567 (Environmental Microbiology) in Fall 2023. Ravi Teja embodies a holistic approach to research, athleticism, and environmental advocacy, reflecting his dedication to fostering positive change. Also, serving as the President of Graduate Student Government (GSG) at ASU 2024-25, an International Student and First Indian Student to be elected for this esteemed position.
