Audrey Bunnell (she/her) is a undergraduate studying Sustainability (BS) with a minor in Sustainable Food Systems. She is an alumna of the USDA NextGen Internship program and currently works as a Food Systems Aide at the Swette Center for Sustainable Food Systems at ASU, where she contributes to the Center's marketing and communications efforts through the development of promotional materials, event planning, web design, photography, and blog writing. She is also an active board member at Slow Food Phoenix. Audrey's interest in food systems stems from her deep love of cooking and gardening, and she is particularly passionate about the preservation of agricultural biodiversity through native and heirloom seeds. As a member of Barrett, the Honors College, she is currently pursuing an honors thesis that investigates and documents using visual and narrative methods the agroecological, nutritional, and sustainable roles that beans play in the Indigenous agricultural systems of the Southwestern United States. While she completes her bachelor’s degree, Audrey is also pursuing an Accelerated Master’s degree in Sustainable Solutions.
