Mariah Teal Lindberg is a PhD Candidate in Public Administration and Policy at Arizona State University’s (ASU) School of Public Affairs, where she serves as a Graduate Student Fellow for the Center for Organization Research and Design (CORD) and the Sustainable Purchasing Research Initiative (SPRI). Her research focuses on management, innovation, and sustainability in governance, with a particular emphasis on procurement-based designs and mechanisms.
Mariah holds a Master of Public Administration (MPA) from San José State University and a Bachelor of Arts from Lewis & Clark College. She worked as a buyer for the County of Santa Clara’s Procurement Department, helping develop the Vendor Outreach Program, and as a program manager and analyst for the Office of the County Executive: Contracts and Grants Management Division.
Mariah is a project lead for the Arizona Procurement Solutions Project, sponsored by the County Supervisor's Association and League of Towns and Cities. She played a key role in developing the Santa Clara County Sustainable Purchasing Policy that was adopted in 2021. She was also a contributing coordinator for the Enhancing America’s Technology Transfer for Prosperity and Inclusion Workshop in 2023, addressing economic innovation ecosystems and societal impacts of NSF research investments. Mariah is a lifetime member of the Girl Scouts of America and a recipient of the organization’s highest honor, the Gold Award, earned in 2012.
