Mannan is an Honors student at Arizona State University, pursuing dual B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Data Science. Passionate about bridging technology with human values, he focuses on ethical AI development, data science, and interdisciplinary research examining how systems influence societies.
His academic and research pursuits bridge the sciences and the humanities. As a Research Scholar at the Lincoln Center for Applied Ethics, Mannan collaborated with the Center on Narrative, Disinformation and Strategic Influence to study political bias in large language models and the evolving ethical frontiers of artificial intelligence. He also co-led discussions on AI literacy at the Chautauqua Institution in New York, engaging journalists and researchers on the ethical implications of emerging technologies.
Simultaneously, Mannan has been recognized as one of ASU’s most community-driven leaders. During his tenure with University Housing, he served as a Residential Experience Coordinator for Barrett’s upper-division communities, earning the Gold Standard Award for outstanding leadership and community impact. He now contributes to ASU’s Budget Office, applying his technical expertise to promote efficiency and transparency across the university’s operations.
Beyond research and service, Mannan is a decorated hackathon competitor, leading teams to first-place victories at HackPrinceton and Georgia Tech’s Hacklytics. His projects address societal challenges such as environmental sustainability, responsible AI design, and data transparency. These experiences have refined his ability to translate interdisciplinary ideas into practical, user-centered solutions.
After interning as a Solutions Architect at Dell Technologies, Mannan now proudly represents the company as Dell’s Campus Ambassador at ASU. Upon graduating in Summer 2026, he looks forward to returning to Dell full time - continuing to design data-driven, human-centered technologies that make a meaningful impact.
