The College of Lib Arts & Sci
I am a Bachelor of Science student in Neuroscience at Arizona State University and a Certified Medical Assistant with over 10 years of clinical experience. My academic interests center on cognitive neuroscience, neurodegenerative disease, and evidence-based medicine, with a particular focus on the neural mechanisms underlying memory, perception, learning, and behavior. I am actively seeking undergraduate research opportunities that will allow me to contribute to investigations of cognition and brain function while further developing my scientific and analytical skills.
My undergraduate training has provided both theoretical and practical experience in the biological sciences. Through laboratory coursework, I have developed a strong foundation in cellular and molecular biology and gained hands-on experience with core laboratory techniques, including restriction enzyme analysis, gel electrophoresis, light microscopy, mass spectrometry, and anatomical dissection. This training has also strengthened my proficiency in experimental design, scientific laboratory documentation, data interpretation, and the critical analysis of peer-reviewed scientific literature.
I am committed to building a rigorous foundation in biomedical science while integrating my clinical experience with scientific research. My long-term goal is to contribute to advances in neuroscience and medicine that improve patient outcomes while promoting equitable access to high-quality healthcare. I value intellectual curiosity, collaboration, academic excellence, and lifelong learning as I prepare for a career as a physician-scientist.
