Renee Cunningham-Williams is an inaugural Watts Endowed Professor of Social Work in the School of Social Work and an associate director of faculty development. Previously as a Washington University faculty member, she was associate dean of doctoral education and co-director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse pre- and postdoctoral training program. She is an internationally recognized authority in comorbid gambling and substance use disorders. Her recent work focuses on doctoral education quality, mentorship and capacity development among diverse scholars. She is an inducted fellow in the Society for Social Work and Research and the American Academy of Social Work and Social Welfare.
