Long Bio
Jesse Rinderneck (He/Him/His) is a doctoral student and graduate teaching associate in the Hugh Downs School of Human Communication. Jesse’s research focuses primarily on age-based tension, criticisms, and cultural shifts and is currently focusing on age and generational criticisms that are levied through social media platforms. By engaging contemporary discourses related to age-based tensions through social media he hopes to be able to learn about the nature of generational trauma and understand the dynamics that leads us to other and critique others related to age. Through this research Jesse hopes to uncover the mechanisms that undergird this way of thinking, and to produce research that helps lead to healthier intergenerational relationships.
