Rollin Medcalf

Rollin Medcalf is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the College of Health Solutions. He has  taught Pharmacology, Pathophysiology and A&P for many years.  His medical training was done at the Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara (UAG), New York Medical College and the hospitals of the Montefiore Health System. He has worked in test prep for the MCAT, USMLE and NCLEX and  has done curriculum development and editing for Kaplan Medical. He is an interviewer for medical school admissions. Dr. Medcalf is a member of the Psychiatry Academy of Massachusetts General Hospital and a Fellow of the Royal Society of Medicine. He has been a guest lecturer for the Universidad Andrés Bello School of Medicine (Chile), Universidad Norbert Wiener (Peru) and the Universidad Internacional del Ecuador.  

Dr. Medcalf received the 2024-25 Undergraduate Teaching Award from the College of Health Solutions. 

Rollin Medcalf is the concertmaster of the Sierra Vista Symphony and also performs with the Tucson Symphony Orchestra, Arizona Opera and the Tucson Pops Orchestra. He has performed at Carnegie Hall and in recording for Naxos.  Recent engagements include performances at St Paul's Chapel Columbia University.
