Griffin Webb is completing his BS in Environmental Design with a focus area in Sustainable Environments. He is simultaneously pursuing the accelerated Master of Landscape Architecture pathway and a Sustainable Food Systems certificate at Arizona State University. His work is informed by a background in biology and visual arts. He is interested in how landscapes influence human experience and ecological outcomes.
As a USDA NextGen intern, Griffin works with the Tucson-based nonprofit Watershed Management Group which advances education, restoration, and policy leadership efforts, with a mission to protect and restore local watersheds.
In recent coursework, he completed Cross-Connect, a redesign of the ASU Tempe campus entrance at the intersection of McAllister and Tyler Mall that emphasized rainwater harvesting, native planting, and pedestrian comfort and safety. He has also proposed design strategies to improve the environmental resilience of residential and demonstration garden sites.
As a Benjamin A. Gilman International Scholar, Griffin studied strategies for urban livability in Copenhagen. While studying abroad, he collaborated on an urban design proposal to revitalize a historic public square through behavioral mapping, placemaking, community-centered programming, and nature-based solutions.
Outside of the studio, he is involved with ASLA, serves as head of merchandise for the 2027 LABash conference, volunteers on a student-led West campus garden project, and uses sketching as a tool for observation and design communication.
Griffin aspires to practice landscape architecture with a specialization in regenerative design, whether addressing climate resilience, food systems, water resources, ecological health, or social well-being.
