Francheska is an assistant research professional at Mary Lou Fulton College for Teaching and Learning Innovation. She previously worked as a postdoctoral research scholar on a DRK12 collaborative research grant, Accessible Computational Thinking in Elementary Science Classes within and across Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Contexts (ACT), which made computational thinking accessible to all students. She currently serves as co-project manager for the DRK12 collaborative research grant, Teaching All Computer science Through Integration and Collaboration with Special Education (TACTICS). She has a background in second-language acquisition, with an emphasis on sheltered instruction, and continues to serve as national faculty for The SIOPĀ® Model. The focus of her research is equitable education for all students through teacher preparation and professional development. She currently serves on the board of AZTESOL.
