Kevin joins the Next Education Workforce team with over twenty-five years of experience teaching, leading, counseling, coaching, and consulting in a wide variety of school settings K-12. As an Implementation Coach with the Next Education Workforce Initiative in the Mary Lou Fulton Teachers College, Kevin works in close collaboration with secondary school partners to build models of schooling based on teams of educators with distributed expertise who together provide deeper and personalized learning for ALL students. As a high school chemistry and psychology teacher Kevin was selected for the Milken Family Foundation National Educator Award and was an Arizona State Teacher of the Year Ambassador of Excellence while also coaching, piloting smaller learning communities, and leading the first-year transition process into high school. As a middle school administrator, Kevin led the development of a team-taught, project/problem-based learning environment that won the Arizona IT in Schools Achievement Award as a model program integrating technology, exceptional curriculum design, and effective teaching practices. He completed his doctorate in educational leadership focusing on authentic leadership and positive psychological capital for the purpose of deep change and exceptional performance.
