Long Bio
Elisha Charley, a Nihok'aa Diyin Dine'e (Navajo Nation) member, grew up in Dennehotso, AZ (northern region of the Navajo reservation). She is an urban planning doctoral candidate at the School of Geographic Science and Urban Planning at Arizona State University. Her research focuses on Indigenous planning and self-help housing in the Navajo Nation. Her agency is rooted in her lived experiences, perpetuating Indigenous futurity. She continues her participatory advocacy as an Indigenous Fellow with the Nááts'íilid Initiative, Dennehotso, AZ. Where she engages with Navajo communities on and off the Navajo Nation, advocating reciprocity through community vitality.
