Long Bio
Matthew Slaboch is an assistant professor in the School of Civic and Economic Thought and Leadership. He studies 19th- and 20th-century European intellectual history and the domestic politics of contemporary Central and Eastern Europe. He has particular interests in philosophy of history, nationalism, and comparative political thought. He is the author of “A Road to Nowhere: The Idea of Progress and Its Critics” (University of Pennsylvania Press 2018).
