Long Bio

Patrick Kamieneski is an astrophysicist studying the formation and evolution of galaxies in the distant Universe. He employs multi-wavelength observations with telescope facilities like the James Webb Space Telescope (JWST), the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array (ALMA), and the Jansky Very Large Array (JVLA) to study the structure and motions of gas, dust, and stars in some of the most extreme star-forming galaxies ever discovered. He also specializes in the use of strong gravitational lensing to magnify and amplify distant objects in order to study them in greater detail.
