As the University Business Services Vice President, Chief Procurement Officer, and Chief Sustainability Officer, Rudy leads the team responsible for auxiliary business services, environmental health and safety, enterprise risk and resilience, procurement, supply chain management, sustainability practices and Workday.
Rudy became the managing director of Business and Finance in 2011. He began reporting to Morgan R. Olsen, ASU executive vice president, treasurer and CFO.
Before he transitioned to VP in 2025, he worked closely with ASU Business and Finance VPs to execute departmental and university-wide goals while managing the Business and Finance Communications, IT and Organizational Performance Office departments.
Rudy began his ASU career in 1993. He has held various roles during his ASU tenure, including positions with Student Housing, Purchasing and Business Services and Business and Finance IT.
Rudy is a double ASU alumnus, holding a Master of Education degree in higher and post-secondary education and a Bachelor of Science degree in computer science. He also has a management and global leadership certificate from the Thunderbird School of Global Management at ASU.
